Both the catalyst-gas mixture and the compressed air are rapidly injected into the die via valves 21, 22 and 21<SP>1</SP>, 22<SP>1</SP> respectively and a distribution head 23. The catalyst-gas mixture may be stored at a volume of 1 litre at 30-50‹ C., whereas the compressed air at a volume of 10 litres is stored at 100-115‹ C., the respective pressures being 2 atmospheres and 4-8 atmospheres.

The operation of the installation is determined by commands from the control unit 10, which is adjusted in accordance with the technology and the ingredients used in the composition of the mixture. At the command of the control unit, the valve 15 is opened and the liquid catalyst (HanpHN ep, aiMHH) is fed under pressure from the tank 8 to the metering device 7, where it is converted into steam. When opening the valve 16, the vaporous catalyst enters the mixing device 5, where the device 6 can be maintained at a temperature of 30 ° C.
Depending on the requirements, the pressure in the tank of the device 5 can be increased by opening the valve 17 and feeding the gas carrier from the gas-holder 9. When opening the valve 13, compressed air from the receiver 4 enters the device 3 for heating the air (volume about 10 liters), where it can be heated with the help of the heating device 3 to a temperature of 100-1150 ° C.
After the rod has been formed in the tooling 20 and the opening of the outlet valve 18 is opened, the catalyst gas from the pressure dosing tank shoots into the formed rod.
Immediately after this, a shot of heated air may follow. This instantly raises the temperature of the sand core and thus contributes to an increase in the speed of the curing process.
The degree of automation of valve control and the cyclical response is determined by the process and performance of the device.
